Welcome to my little biz Laura Callaghan Photography & Film, a Gold Coast-based photography and videography business dedicated to capturing timeless moments and telling captivating stories through photos and film. I specialising in weddings but, I am also open to discussing other photography and videography opportunities, so be sure to always reach out.
I am passionate, experienced professional who believes in creating natural, bright, and spontaneous photos and film that truly capture the spirit of your special day or moment. With over 500 weddings under my belt, I consider weddings as the best job in the world. On your wedding day, I becomes more than just a "hired help" with a camera. I become a trusted friend, immersing myself in every moment, and capturing the day as authentically as possible. My goal is to ensure that when you look at your wedding photos, you remember exactly how you felt.
I love to bring an infectious energy and vibe to wedding days, enabling you to have fun and celebrate with their loved ones. My photography style embodies who I am as a person - creative, laid-back, and genuine. I believe that your wedding day should be a joyous celebration, filled with moments shared with your loved ones while also capturing stunning portraits that you will be thrilled to showcase on your walls.
But enough about that, let's get to know me little better.
Behind the camera, I am an open, bubbly, and infectiously happy person. And although I admittedly prefers being behind the lens rather than in front of it, I do understands the importance of capturing cherished moments and making the most of the special moments you get to spend with those you love.
Family is at the core of my world. My three young children and husband are my inspiration, and I cherish every moment I get to spends with them. The Gold Coast in Queensland Australia is where I call home but, I do love to travel throughout South East Queensland and beyond, often embarking on international adventures to capture weddings in breath taking destinations.
My creativity extends beyond photography. With hobbies like baking sugar cookies and decorating them and tending to my every growing vegetable, fruit, and flower garden. I am also a Authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant and MC.

I pride myself on showcasing real weddings and real couples who are just like you. It's important to me to tell the story of your wedding day.
It's worth noting that all the photos and films on my website feature real couples from their actual wedding. None of them are models, and none of the images come from staged and styled shoots where every detail is planned meticulously and the pressure of a real moment is not there.
Just like you, my photos and film are of couples who may have felt just as nervous, awkward and worried about being filmed and photographed. Rest assured, my goal is to make our time to get photos and filming not scary, awkward or a horrible experience, rather we will have fun, act silly and honestly have a good laugh. We have fun and that's important to me.
